What's Happening

By staff writer Friday, April 26, 2002
“His soul swooned slowly as he hear the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead. - James Joyce “The Dead”

Every runner has a story. But in this race, the spectators are the ones with the stories. Along each mile of Sunday’s 19th edition of the James Joyce Ramble, readings from six Joyce works (“Finnegans Wake,” “Ulysses,” “A Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man,” “ Exiles,” “Dubliners,” and “The Dead” ) will be performed by actors. The race begins at the Endicott Estate on East Street in Dedham at 11:00 a.m.
