Before the start of last year’s Ramble, the following dedication was read:
“We remember our fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan The miners of West Virginia’s Big Branch Mine The Oil well workers in Louisiana, Robert Parker, J.D. Salinger, Meip Geis who gave shelter to Ann Frank, Dorothy Height, Irene Theresa Burns Butle and those we loved and lost these past few months. So run. Run for them.”
